Admission Requirements for Part Time Programmes Kumasi Polytechnic

1) Entry Requirements for  DBSProgrammes

Four (4) SSSCE/WASSCE passes including English Language andMathematics.

2) Entry Requirements for Certificate inAccounting(6 months)

Candidates must have 4 passes in any SSSCE/WASSCE /GCE O level/GBCE subjects.

3) Entry Requirements for Diploma in BankingTechnologyand Accounting (DBTA) 2 yearprogramme

Candidates must have 4 passes in SSSCE/WASSCE/ O Level/ GBCE including English Language and Core Mathematics.

4) Entry Requirements for Diploma in Computerised Accounting (DCA) 2 year programme

Candidates must have 4 passes in SSSCE/WASSCE/GBCE including English Language and Core Mathematics.

5) Entry Requirements for Diploma Programmes:

Candidates must have four passes in WASSCE/SSSCE/ GBCE/ ‘O’ LEVEL including English Language and Core Mathematics.

6) Professional Diploma in Banking Technology and Accounting (PDBTA) 1 year programme.

7) Professional Diploma in Computerised Accounting (PDCA) 1 year programme

Diploma in Computerised Accounting

Post Graduate Certificate in Computerized Accounting (PGCCA) six months week-end programme.

1. Holders of First Degree or HND Certificate OR
2. Candidates with level 2 of ICA or ACCA or Equivalent.

9) Diploma inHealthStatistics (Two year programme) and

10) Diploma in Statistics for Risk Management

1. GBCE Applicants:Four (4)GBCE passes including English and Mathematics
2. SSSCE/WASSCE Applicants:Passes in any Four (4) subjects including English and    Mathematics
3. DBS Applicants:Four (4) SSSCE/WASSCE passes including English Language and Mathematics plus at least Two (2) DBS passes
4. Post Secondary Teachers Certificate/Diploma in BasicEducation.
5. Mature Applicants:

Must be 25 years old; have at least two (2) years working experience and must pass a written examination and interview.

11) Entry Requirements for Intermediate and Technician Part I Programmes

Four (4) SSSCE/WASSCE passes including English Language and Mathematics

12) Entry Requirements for Advanced Programmes

Passes in all components of intermediate certificate

13) Entry Requirements for Technician Part II Programmes

Passes in all components of Technician part I certificate
