ADMISSION OF CANDIDATES TO BACHELOR OF LAWS DEGREE (LL.B) FOR THE 2016/2017 ACADEMIC YEAR
GIMPAhereby announces for the benefit of interested applicants that it has opened admission processes for the2016/2017academic year for students wishing to pursue theprogrammeleading to the award of the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree. The programme is
designed for students with a first degree in any discipline who wish to enroll on the LL.B programme and with the intention of becoming lawyers in the future. It is a rigorous one and prepares students for admission to the professional training. This is an evening
programme and therefore allows adequate time for day time preparation. In addition, a
small but intensive modular class designed especially for students with work scheduling difficulties who are both prepared and able to take time off from work to complete specific
modules at a time has been re-introduced following sustained requests and interest from the public. The modular stream is a four year programme.
ELIGIBILITY:
The minimum requirements for admission are as follows:
A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an approved/recognized university with
a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division); OR
A professional chartered qualification such as ACCA, ICA, ICSA, CIPS and CIMA; and
In addition to this, shortlisted candidates will have to pass a qualifying interview.
DURATION:
The regular evening programme is for a duration of three (3) academic years, while the
module is four (4) years.
ENTRANCE EXAMINATION AND INTERVIEW:
The entrance examination comes off on Saturday, May 7, 2016, while the qualifying interviews will commence on Monday, May 23, 2016.
TUITION:
The Tuition fee is GH¢ 10,500 for an academic year.
