College Of Education Admission Requirements 2017/2018

1. WASSCE /SSSCE Qualification Applicants
The general requirement for admission to the Diploma in BasicEducation(DBE)programmeis as follows:
i. WASSCE Holders: PASSES (A1-D7) in Six (6) subjects including English Language and CoreMathematics, with a minimum of C6 in any three (3) of the six subjects relevant to theprogrammeof choice.
ii. SSSCE Holders: PASSES (A-D) in Six (6) subjects including English Language and CoreMathematics. Three (3) of the six subjects must be relevant to the programme of choice.
iii. Candidates Awaiting the MAY/JUNE, 2016 WASSCE RESULTS may also purchase the online forms and apply.
The specific requirements for admission to the various OPTIONS on offer within the DBE PROGRAMME are as detailed below:

Entry Requirement for the Various Options in the DBE programme

GENERAL PROGRAMME

WASSCE APPLICANT
Passes in Six (6) subjects including English Language and Core Mathematics. Three (3) out of the six (6) subjects must be a minimum of C6, and relevant to the General Option.

SSCE APPLICANT
Passes (A-D) in Six (6) subjects including English Language and Core Mathematics. Three (3) of the six subjects must be relevant to the General Option.
SCIENCE & MATHEMATICS PROGRAMME

WASSCE APPLICANT
Passes in Six (6) subjects including English Language and Core Mathematics. Three (3) out of the six (6) subjects must be a minimum of C6, and relevant to the Science & Mathematics Option.

SSCE APPLICANT
Passes (A-D) in Six (6) subjects including English Language and Core Mathematics. Three (3) of the six (6) subjects must be relevant to the Science & Mathematics Option.
EARLY CHILDHOODEDUCATIONPROGRAMME

WASSCE APPLICANT
Passes in Six (6) subjects including English Language and Core Mathematics. Three (3) out of the six (6) subjects must be a minimum of C6, and relevant to the Early Childhood Option.

SSCE APPLICANT
Passes (A-D) in Six (6) subjects including English Language and core Mathematics. Three (3) of the six (6) subjects must be relevant to the Early Childhood Option
FRENCH PROGRAMME

WASSCE APPLICANT
Passes in Six (6) subjects including English Language and Core Mathematics. Three (3) out of the six (6) subjects including FRENCH must be a minimum of C6

SSCE APPLICANT
Passes (A-D) in Six (6) subjects including English Language and Core Mathematics. Three (3) of the six (6) subjects must include FRENCH
TECHNICAL PROGRAMME

WASSCE APPLICANT
Passes in Six (6) subjects including English Language and Core Mathematics. Three (3) out of the six (6) subjects must be a minimum of C6, and relevant to either Technical/Science or Technical/Mathematics Options

SSCE APPLICANTS
Passes (A-D) in Six (6) subjects including English Language and core Mathematics. Three (3) of the six (6) subjects must be relevant to either Technical/Science or Technical/Mathematics Options

SPECIAL APPLICANTS:
VISUALLY IMPAIRED

SPECIAL APPLICANTS:
HEARING IMPAIRED
Study facilities are available at Presbyterian College of Education, AKROPONG.
