ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR THE RECRUITMENT EXERCISE
1. GENERAL ELIGIBILITY
Eligible applicant must:
i. Be a Ghanaian citizen by birth.
ii. Be with no criminal record and of good character.
iii. Be not less than 18 years of age and not more than 26 years of age for Non-Tradesmen,35-40 years for Drivers,
and not more than 30 years for the Officer Corps.
iv. Be physically and medically fit by Fire service standards.
v. Be of a minimum height of 1.73 Meters (5ft 8Inches) for males and 1.63 Meters (5ft 4Inches)
for females
CATEGORY A
RECRUITS
a. Firefighters and Rescue Crew
In addition to satisfy requirements “i”, “ii”, “iii”, “iv” and “v” in general eligibility,applicants must
have the following:
Five(5) Credits in SSCE/WASSCE,Including Core English and CoreMathematicsor five(5) credits in theGhana
EducationService(GES) Intermediate Level Certificate,including English and Mathematics or ‘A’ Level /’o’
Level with credit in English and Mathematics.
b. Drivers and Driver Mechanics
In addition to satisfy requirements “i”, “ii”, “iii”, “iv” and “v” in general eligibility,applicants must
have the following:
i. SSCE/WASSCE ‘O’/’A’ Level GES Intermediate Level,NVTI Grades I & II Automobile Certificate or J.S.S Certificate
with 10years driving experience.
ii.Driver License D or F
iii.Minimum of five(5)years caccident free driving experience
c. IT TECHNICIANS
In addition to satisfy requirements “i”, “ii”, “iii”, “iv” and “v” in general eligibility,applicants must
have the following:
A Professional Certificate in Software Development.Website Development & Maintenance.Database Administration
from an Accredited Institution.
d. REGISTERED GENERAL NURSES(RGN)
In addition to satisfy requirements “i”, “ii”, “iii”, “iv” and “v” in general eligibility,applicants must
have the following:
i. Certificate or Diploma in Nursing from an Accredited Institution
e. Bandsmen
In addition to satisfy requirements “i”, “ii”, “iii”, “iv” and “v” in general eligibility,applicants must
have the following:
Regimental Band
i. Should be able to play more than three(3) Instruments including Clarinets,Bassoons,Flutes,Alto and
Tenor Sax.
ii.Should be able to read the staff notation.
iiiPercussion:Should be good at every aspect of Percussion.
Dance Band
i. Keyboardist should be conversant with all types of songs
ii.Vocalist must be able to sing all types of songs and back the song as well
iiiBass and Lead Guitarist should be conversant with all types of songs.
CATEGORY B
THE OFFICER CORPS
In addition to satisfy requirements “i”, “ii”, “iii”, “iv” and “v” in general eligibility,applicants must
have the following:
a. Engineers
A minimum of First Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,Chemical Engineering,
Electrical Engineering,Architectural Engineering,or Building Tecnology from an Accredited Tertiary
Institution.
b. Forensic Scientist
A minimum of First Degree in Physics,Chemistry,Bio-Chemistry or Computer Science from an Accredited
Tertiary Institution.
c. Registered General Nurses (RGN)
A minimum of First Degree in Nursing from an Accredited Tertiary Institution.
d. Counselors
A minimum of First Degree in Counseling from an Accredited Tertiary Institution.
e. Accounts Officers
A minimum of First Degree or Higher National Diploma(HND) inAccountingfrom and Accredited Tertiary
Institution.
f. Lawyers
Applicants must have the following:
i. LLB/BL qualification from an Accredited Institution.
ii.Not more than 35 years of age.
g. Public Relations Officers
Applicants must have:
A minimum of First Degree in Communication Studies,Public Relations,Journalism.orMarketingfrom and
Accredited Institution.
3. Mode of Application

ii.Click on the “Apply Now“button at the right top corner of the screen.
iii.Enter the Serial number and PIN on your voucher and click the login buttom.
iv.Enter the e-mail address and telephone number used to purchase the voucher at the Bank and click the
login buttom.
v.Choose the category you want to apply for (ie Category ‘A’ or ‘B’)
vi.Enter your personal details and click “next” to continue
vii.Enter your Educational background and upload supporting documents.Click the ‘next’ buttom to
continue.
viii.Enter the details of (2)two Referees and your sporting interest.
ix.Upload your passport size picture and click ‘Next’ to continue.
x.Review your submission.
xi.If you have not completed your application and wish to continue later,”save” and “log out”
xii.Or click “submit” to Apply.
5. Screening and Examination
Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by e-mail for Screening and Examination at the Screening Centre
selected during the online application
6. Medical Examination
Applicants who are successful in the Screening Examination will be invited in batches,for Medical
Examination.
7. Training
Only applicants who are successful in the Screening Examination will be invited for training.
8. Feeding,Transportation and Accommodation
Accomodation
Applicants will be responsible for their feeding,Transportation and Accommodation throughout the recruitment
exercise.
9. E-Vouchers
