Q: Is theGhanaPolice Service recruiting?
A: Yes, application for recruitment into theGhana Police Serviceopens on Monday 20th November, 2017. Sale and purchase of Vouchers will close on 15th December, 2017 while online application will close on 24th December, 2017.

Q: How can I apply to join theGhanaPolice Service?
A: The application form is online. To access it, purchase a Voucher for Fifty Ghana Cedis (GH¢ 50.00) from GCB Bank to obtain a unique serial number and log on to the application portal https://police.gov.gh.services to complete the form.

Q: What qualification do I need to join the Ghana Police Service?
A: The qualification depends on which category you are interested in. However, the general requirements are that you must:
a. be a Ghanaian;
b. be of good character and without criminal record;
c. not have been dismissed from any public service or any other employment;
d. be not more than the age stated for a specific category by 1st January, 2018;
e. be at least 5 feet 8 inches (173cm) tall for males and 5 feet 4 inches (163cm) for females;
f. be physically and medically fit by Ghana Police Service standards;
g. be able to speak and write in fluent English Language;
h. be knowledgeable in basic computer application;
i. have active e-mail account and mobile phone number;
j. be ready to undergo basic Police training and other forms of training.
Q: What is the age requirement for recruitment into the Ghana Police Service?
A: Minimum of 18years and maximum of 27 years for General Recruits and Tradesmen; and 30 years forGraduatesand Professionals, except medical specialists who can be up to 35years.

Q: Where do I obtain or purchase the application forms?
A: You do not have to purchase application form; rather purchase a Voucher from GCB Bank at fifty Ghana cedis (GH¢ 50.00) only.

Q: Where can we get the application Voucher to buy?
A: You can purchase the Voucher at any of the 161 “traditional” branches of GCB Bank across the country. The price is fifty Ghana cedis (GH¢ 50.00) only.

Q: What categories or vacancies can I apply for?
A: The categories available are General Duty Recruits, Tradesmen and Graduates (General Duty and Professionals).

Q: Can I apply for more than one category?
A: Yes, an applicant can apply under different categories which he/she may qualify for.

Q: What are the stages of the recruitment process?
A: The stages of the recruitment process:
a. online Application
b. body selection and physical screening
c. written examination andaptitude test
d. vetting and background check and
e. Medical testing

Q: If I lose my password to the application portal can I retrieve it?
A: Yes, u can retrieve your password by signing into the page and follow the prompts.

Q: How do I make enquiries after I have submitted my application?
A: Simply sign into the application portal and submit a query.

Q: Can I track my application?
A: Yes, you can track your application after submission. Simply sign into https://tracking.police.gov.gh.services, enter your tracking number and submit.

Q: I applied for the 2016 graduate enlistment, do I need to re-apply?
A: There is no need to re-apply because graduates and professionals who applied in 2016 would be contacted in due course to continue the application process.
