Alarm red ❌
On Sunday, the country lifted a four-level virus alert to the highest “red” level.
Daegu became the epicenter of the spread of the virus here since the city was discovered the largest group of massive infections with a population of 2.4 million people.
The group was associated with Church services, a small religious sect called Sinchonri in Daegu. As of Friday morning, 840 cases were associated with worship.
A total of 117 cases were identified in the hospital Daenam in the County of Cheongdo, South of Daegu.
The test was carried out for all about 650 patients and medical staff, since almost all patients in the psychiatric ward of the hospital tested positive for the virus.
It was considered that the cluster infection in the hospital was associated with the sect Sinchonri, as the number of followers attended the funeral ceremony of the founder Singhong.
Last week, the government has identified Daegu and Cheongdo as a “special care”.
