On Monday, the government of Tunisia has confirmed its first case of coronavirus ☣ app in the country.

Health Minister Abdelatif El Maki said at a press conference that the patient was a Tunisian.

Tunisia is the fifth country in Africa, confirmed case of the coronavirus after Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria and Senegal.

The announcement was made after Algeria confirmed two new cases of coronavirus infections — a woman and her daughter at the age of 53, and 24 years respectively.

Senegal also registered its first confirmed case of coronavirus is a French citizen, since under observation.

The world health organization (who) recently raised its assessment of the risk of spreading disease to “very high”.
