The rifle Blaser R 93 in the 6×62 Frères

The rifle Blaser R 93 is certainly a strong point of the production of Blaser, I would say the one where it is thickened to the knowledge of the company, with its special insights in to project firearms and execution.

Left by the classic designers of the House of Isny have added different features in the course of some years, not all you notice immediately of certain things, they put in the hands of the hunters rifle with the peculiarities of today, more than ever, sought-after and well-utilized. Then we speak of light weight, allied to a compact size, to equal the length of the bore, of the system of repetition with movement in the line, an old idea exploited by the military and now fully revised in its setting, the package of shot that is activated voluntarily only at the time of the shot with excellent security in the transfers, setting the butt, nice for woods, but was also appreciated for the easy acquisition of the posture of the shot and for the control that you have in the outcome of the same. Finally, we emphasize the accuracy of the shot always exciting. There is the price, not exactly popular, but the numbers sold in these years include that the results of the hunter spends without hesitation.

The technical approach

The survey for the first thing as the junction between the barrel and the obturator is directed with the barrel held by two pilierini integral with the chamber and threaded internally in which the two allen screw after passing through the butt in front of the guard. The barrel is obtained for rotomartellatura and finished externally, with the downward taper of 11° of the muzzle to protect the egresso of the lines and minimize the effect of the breath of the mouth on the ball, while the interior of the breech ring, the downside is the attachment point for the locking system. The complex of the obturator sees a lower support with two guide rails placed in the specific seat of the drum, the carriage movement is only linear, the head of the clamping, the outer casing, where, on the right side is inserted into the handlebar and the rear protrudes the key armament of the battery. The front of the shutter sees the cylinder head face lowered with a substantial milling, in which runs orthogonally to the block, the extractor, held in the register by a wire spring: a robust solution and functional side-by-side from the pawl elastic ejection. Behind the head is a cylinder of steel carved for 4/5 of its length so as to obtain the twelve plate springs, united in the common base of the cylinder, and ending each with a tooth profile, slightly inclined. Now let’s turn to the handle-bar, pivoted in the side and equipped with pendulum motion, thanks to which it guarantees the progress and the retainer in the closure of the set back: the movement pushes within the slats, and a strut that, thanks to the conical profile, put in expansion by constraining the teeth within the recess to the circular crown milled in the breech of the barrel. Remarkable is the total area of contrast, and also the reset is very fast, moving minimally the weapon from the line of sight. This bond between the shutter and the rod leaves the castle quite a few effort so that is realized in ergal for greater lightness. To add, furthermore, that a lever allows to easy release of the head as well as the two allen head screws, the removal of the rod: within homogeneous groups of cartridges is then replaceable on the caliber with the benefits to understand, especially for hunting trips.

The battery

The Blaser has adopted a system of armament manual battery disconnected from the drive of the handlebar and the chambered cartridge: this particular resulted in a choice that many manufacturers have subsequently followed for your own weapons, considering which is the determined safety: walking with the cartridge in the chamber and spring loaded battery lying with the firing pin blocked. A pressure on the key to slide and the battery is armed so you can shoot with a pressure on the trigger less than 800 g, clear, clean without the slightest smudging: or you see the shot and it’s just a further slight pressure on the key to disarm the battery. For against operating the handlebar after a shot or to change the cartridge the battery is to be left the army: it’s good to pay a lot of attention to not get back on the road in such condition.

The butt

The choice of walnut of a certain level of dress in an appropriate manner the arms of the House of Isny proposals with such a solution, in the alternative, we find calciature synthetic where emphasis is placed on strength at the expense of aesthetics. Forms follow regular lines to the back right and of good thickness, gun curved with coccia metal reported on which stands a pair of roe deer, hake above, while the rod of large cross-section allows both the support on the backpack that the shooter pulled out: the peak at schnabel recalls, fittingly, the origins of the weapon. Are provided for the t-shirts, door strap along with the rubber butt.

Considerations

Many of the peculiarities of the relief of the Blaser R 93 , from which we highlight the consequences for the benefit of the user: the lightness of the system so as to grant to the barrel with a section slightly greater than the norm, all to the advantage of the accuracy, while maintaining the weighting values very convenient species for the mountains; and the system of armament which is less than the stecher family and secure while maintaining a weight release is the best and change the caliber very fast; optical fastened with the special attachment to the saddle with four points of attachment to the breech of the barrel, optimal also with gauge to heavy recoil and repositioning secured the telescope after dismantling. The success of these rifles is again demonstrated by the reduced the used market, where not many pieces that will come from, who has them if he keeps them, always keep a listing high enough.
