Problem:
Lightning sparks can be seen flying inside microwave oven when it is heating and in operating mode
Solution:
Sparks, or arcing, inside microwave ovens occur when food particles or spilled liquid is left in the cavity or on the wave guide cover of your unit.
- It is best to clean microwave unit well with non abrasive appliance cleaner.
- If the cleaning does not remove all particles and the unit has burn blemishes, spot sand everything to a smooth finish. Afterwords, touch it all up with microwave interior paint.
Please note that if there are any burn holes in the cavity of your microwave oven, it is important to not use the unit. Seek expert help from a qualified appliance repair technician.
