NOTE: Before doing any work, turn the electric power to your electric range or close the gas supply valve to shut off the gas supply to your gas range.
- Oven Door Gasket – If your oven is not heating to desired temperature or is heating unevenly, a defective door gasket could be causing the problem. To test and make sure that you indeed have a faulty gasket, pass your hand around the oven door (not touching the oven!) while the oven is turned on. The oven door gasket needs to be replaced if you can feel the heat escaping. Make sure to replace the gasket with a new part specific for your range model number.
