Individual little brown bats, on average, live six to seven years. The longest known life span of a little brown bat in the wild is 31 years, however. Their habitat ranges throughout the northern United States and into Canada. Their populations are abundant, with colonies numbering in the hundreds of thousands not unusual. These little brown animals like to choose roost sites in buildings, caves, rocks, trees and wood piles. Source: NWF.org
