Italian couple checked my test result for coronavirus in San Juan, Puerto Rico, which was positive. It happened late in the evening on Friday, five days after they landed on a cruise ship heading across the Atlantic.
Costa Cruises, an Italian subsidiary of Miami-based Carnival Corp., reports that the ship Costa Luminosa is headed to Marseille, France.
Costa Luminosa departed 5 March from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to commit a transatlantic flight. A ship called the ambulance when he docked in San Juan on Sunday, March 8.
Puerto Rican doctors suspected that the 68-year-old woman became ill with the coronavirus and hospitalized her. Her husband, 70 years old, was without symptoms. By the time when Puerto Rico has announced the admission, hundreds of passengers spent the day mingling in the colonial Old San Juan, and the ship left the port.

All this time the Costa Luminosa was in the sea. The show was canceled, but the gym, pool and Jacuzzi remain open. On Saturday, the crew redid the buffet table to serve passengers directly, says Catherine Bitner, 66-year-old passenger from San Diego, California.
“No one I know has not been tested on our ship,” said Ms. Bitner in the WhatsApp message.
