The Dominican Republic confirmed its first case of coronavirus — a tourist visiting the country of Italy.
The patient is 62-year-old man is in stable condition. At a press conference the Minister of health of the country Rafael Sanchez, he was put in isolation ward of military hospital near the capital.
Another tourist, 56-year-old man from France, is under observation in the hospital and awaits test results for coronavirus.
On Friday, the Dominican Republic has cancelled all flights from Milan to 30 days. The government also said that all returning from Italy, travelers will have to undergo epidemiological checks at airports.
