A leading American expert on infectious diseases said Sunday that it’s possible, regional localization of parts of the United States would be required to contain the outbreak of coronavirus, and recommended to those who are most at risk — the elderly and people with underlying medical conditions — from travel.
Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and infectious diseases, said that the administration trump’s ready “to take all necessary measures” to contain the outbreak, including restricting travel to areas with a large number of cases, such as Italy announced on Sunday.
