The number of cases COVID-19 in Seychelles reached 4, according to the Department of public health (PHA).
PHA has confirmed that the latest patient is a citizen of the Netherlands, who visited the Seychelles for tourism purposes.
She is the wife of another patient who had tested positive for COVID-19 Sunday, March 15.
The couple arrived at Seychelles Islands on Wednesday 11 March 2020.
The husband and wife are quarantined.
“The first two positive cases (a couple from the Seychelles, returned from Italy) are healthy and receive treatment,” added PHA.
PHA said that the condition of patients is stable and they will remain in prison hospital Anse Royale for treatment and care.
The Seychelles have become one of the 30 African States that have confirmed cases COVID-19 as the disease continues to spread around the world.
The last countries on the continent, reported cases of the disease are Liberia, Tanzania and Somalia.
Everything about them was registered more than 380 cases.
