Authorities said that two medics in the Bay area San Francisco tested positive for the coronavirus after they have been exposed to a patient who is being treated for the virus in a hospital in Sacramento, officials said on Sunday.
Work schedule was not available immediately. Officials in the Alameda County and Solano said in a press release that the workers were isolated at the place of residence.
Other workers exposed to the patient in Sacramento can also obtain positive for coronavirus.
“We took immediate and comprehensive action to stop the further spread of the virus, including work with officials of the public health for contact tracing that could have two physicians,” — said in a press release the President of NorthBay HealthCare group Aimee Brewer.
Both the medic worked at NorthBay hospital in Vacaville, California.
Representatives of public health stated that to find out who else was in contact with workers.
According to a press release, the County of Alameda where he lives one of the medical officers, declared an emergency in public health.
