While countries throughout Europe impose restrictions and limit the visit, Prime Minister Boris Johnson is facing a growing wave of protest against more relaxed measures of his government to combat coronavirus.

In an open letter to nearly 350 scientists and physicians urged him to take immediate steps for social distancing undertaken by such countries as Italy, France and Spain.

They warned that the British approach — in which the government talked about the impending steps, such as quarantine of elderly residents and the closure of schools, but was deferred for 10 days or longer — endangered life.

Health Minister Matt Hancock told the British broadcaster Sky News that the action plan includes a requirement that the British over 70 years of age have isolated themselves for up to four months to reduce the risk of Contracting the virus. It is expected that the government will also forbid the holding of large meetings, starting next week, and order people over 70 years of age to stay at home.

The level of infection in the country is growing as fast as in other European countries. As of Sunday in the UK were registered not less than 1370 confirmed cases and 35 deaths, and the United States this weekend extended the ban to travel from most of Europe, including the UK.
