EA continues to detail the various modes ofMadden NFL 18, today shedding light on the XP system in Madden Ultimate Team.
For those unfamiliar with MUT, XP is earned by gameplay performance within the mode. You can not earn XP by completing Sets, Objectives, or opening Packs; it has to be through in-game performance.
Madden Ultimate Team XP Overview
As you probably guessed, XP is what drives up MUT level. Everyone will start at level 1 and work their way up.
Leveling up your MUT account unlocks additional opportunities inside of the mode, like access to certain modes, special offers within the store, or access into new Solo challenges.
Madden 18’s MUT will have a level cap of 30 at launch. Reaching this level cap will provide you with extra bonuses not available to anyone else. EA says the level cap could increase as the year goes on.
How to earn XP in MUT 18
As previously mentioned, XP in Madden Ultimate Team is earned on the field in-game. The following actions all earn XP:
- First solo challenge win of the day
- First H2H win of the day
- How many quarters you completed
- Margin of victory/margin of defeat
- Offensive yards gained
- Total team tackles
- Sacks and interceptions
The amount of XP you can earn for completing certain actions changes based on the scenario. At the end of each game, you’ll see an XP screen that summarizes how much you’ve earned and what you did to achieve it.
