Once a potential cadet enters theGhanaMilitary Academy for training, there are so many things he/she should prepare for. Life in academy is very different, strenuous and fast moving, it is only a sense of purpose that keeps you going at most times. Regardless of the pressure and high demands of the cadet lines (training accommodation unit), a cadet is expected to exhibit enthusiasm and take close interest in the standards stated below;
General Physical Fitness(The fitness of every cadet will be extremely tested in an effort to ensure that only fit Officers are churned out into theGhana Armed Forces).
Alertness and mental robustness(Cadets are required to be alert at all times and pay proper attention to little details during their dealings in the Academy)
Personal Hygiene and Turnout(Cadets must thrive to look smart always, regardless of what is been done at any point in time. Attention must also be paid to ones hygiene and wellbeing to avoid sickness and avoidable infections).
Leadership(Cadets will be given various leadership roles to help develop their leadership abilities).
Mental and Physical Endurance(Cadets will go through various exercises to test and develop their ability to endure discomfort and think rationally under extreme conditions during the training).
Time Management (Cadets must be able to manage their time efficiently in order to achieve and make specific timings within the walls of the Academy and this demands full concentration).
An Officer cadet is always guarded by the words of theGhanaMilitary Academy Creed coined by the Intake 55 in 2015.
