Wisconsin International University college Law LLB Admission 2017/2018

Wisconsin’sFaculty of Lawoffers a three-year and a four-year Bachelor of Laws (LL.B)programmeaimed at preparing students for careers in the legal sector.

This could be as legal practitioners (solicitors, barristers, magistrates or other court officials) or as legaladvisorsin corporate organisations, public or private sector or NGOs.

Graduatesmay go on to acquire their professional/ bar qualification to practice as legal practitioners. They may also decide to specialise in a particular area of the law.

Teaching methods: A variety of teaching methods are used, including lectures and discussion, small group work, moot court competitions, projects, and outreach pro bono work through the Law Clinic.

• Criminal Law

• Public International Law

• Administrative Law

• Land Law

• Property Law

• Energy (Petroleum) & Natural Resource Law

• Conveyancer

• Legislative Drafter

• Legal Researcher

• Legal Specialist/Expert in Human Rights, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Taxation etc.

Accreditation:The Bachelor of Laws programme is affiliated to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science andTechnology(KNUST). The programme is accredited byGhana’s National Accreditation Board (NAB).

Entry requirements:

1) WASSCE/SSSCE:

Candidates must have six credits (A1-C6) in English,Mathematicsand Integrated Science and three elective subjects, making an aggregate of no more than 36.

Candidates must have six credits (A-D) in English, Mathematics and Integrated Science and three elective subjects, making an aggregate of no more than 24.

2) First-degree holders:

Degree holders in any discipline may be admitted into level 200 for a three-year LL.B programme.

All LL.B applicants will be required to undergo an entrance examination and an interview.
