Entry Requirement To GIMPA Faculty Of Law

LL.B REGULAR & MODULARPROGRAMME:

Interested applicants must have been awarded a first degree in any relevant discipline and must have obtained a minimum of a lower division.

The minimum requirements for admission are:

• A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an approved/recognized university with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division); OR
• A professional chartered qualification such as ACCA, ICA, ICSA, CIPS and CIMA; and

An interview will be conducted on the basis of performance in the entrance exam. Only applicants who are shortlisted will be notified.

DURATION:
The programme is for a duration of three (3) academic years.

LL.B DAY PROGRAMME:

1. Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) and West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) Candidates

The general requirements for admission of WASSCE and SSSCE candidates to first degreeprogrammesare three (3) credit passes in three core subjects and three (3) credit passes in three elective subjects.

i. SSSCE Candidates: Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, including English Language andMathematicsplus three (3) relevant elective subjects.

ii. WASSCE Candidates: Credit Passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.

2. General Certificate ofEducation(GCE) Advanced Level Candidates

Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Also, the applicant must have had credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject for (for non-science) and an Arts subject (for Science students).

DURATION:
