While visiting the camp with my school, we had heard whispers of help and saw a female dripping wet in the middle of the words wearing a white gown. Now, at first I figured I was seeing stuff, but not only I saw it, but so did two of my friends and the 15 boys in the cabin across from ours. I, being the insane one, attempted to approach the figure. I got a foot within the figure and she disappeared. I was scared. I fell backwards onto the ground, screaming. I am 14 years old. And I will never forget her face. Her eyes were a light blue color, her hair was dripping wet, but appeared to be black. Her nose was thin, her mouth was frowning. Her skin was pale and white. My friends looked like me like I was insane. The two girls I was with had to get a counselor and have me taken back to the cabin, I was so close to fainting. I was crying and shaking in fear. It took me hours to calm down. Everyone said I was crazy for going near her, and they searched the whole camp for her. We couldn’t find her. No foot prints, no broken twigs. Nothing. The counselor that helped me calm down had told me that there was a story of a girl that had drowned there on the Neuse River. I’m confused as hell.
