The Glowing Eyes

It all started when we moved in to this gloryous mansion. The outside of the house was amazing, But when i walked in the beauty was mind blowing. There were statues, paintings, and frilly stair railings, I had it all. I started unpacking. By the time i was finished packing it was 11:00pm. so i headed off to bed. Half way up the stairs something or someone tried to push me down. I was so startled that i stumbled and almost fell. Soon i caught my balance. i finished walking up my steps thinking “maybe the air just turned on and it startled me”. I got to my room. I tried to turn the knob to open the door. It didn’t budge. It was locked. ” How could it be locked?” I thought to myself. There is no key hole. Nor anything to block the entrance. That night i had to sleep in the hallway. I kept seeing these yellow glowing eyes. I couldn’t sleep of the thought that i was being watched. So i decided to take a tour of the house. There were many, many rooms but there was none like the library. The library was marvolous.I slowly walked in side this giagantic room. The room was covered with cob webs and dust. “These books must be atleast 200 years old i thought.” Each and every book had its own personality. I ran my fangers across the spine of each book. then i found a book that didn’t have a cover or a back. I decided finally to open the book to see what it said. In smeared ink it read “Reader beware if you choose to read this book out loud the beast shall come back again.” What could this mean the next day i found out. I found the words “I warned you” wrote on the wall in blood. Then i saw my cat dead with a puddle of blood beside her.
