The Athletic Garage Dance Center’s spring show for 2014, Fairytales: A Dance Show and Scholarship Fundraiser, will raise money for the AGDC’s rigorous dance scholarship program. This theatrical dance show will be staged at the studio on Saturday, April 5, at 7 PM and Sunday, April 6, at 3 PM. Tickets are available online for $15 or at the door for $20 (cash only).
Interested in joining the scholarship program, which has a preprofessional focus and emphasizes the study of many diverse styles of dance? Keep an eye out for the AGDC’s announcement of scholarship auditions, which are held annually around August, or contact the studio for further information. The program is open to young adults and requires a few specific prerequisites, such as knowledge of the basic ballet positions. Dancers who are not highly experienced are welcome in the program as long as they are serious about the study of dance. If you have little to no classical dance technique training, we advise contacting the AGDC now for information on required skills. This will give you several months to prepare.
