Mexico is famous for its alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks that are enjoyed by millions of people around the world.

Traditional Mexican Alcoholic Drinks

The most famous and one of the greatest Mexican alcoholic beverages is Tequila, which is made at 3840% alcohol content (7680 proof).

Tequila is bottled in one of five categories: Blanco (White) or Plata (Silver)un-aged tequila, Joven (Young) or Oro (Gold)un-aged silver tequila blended with aged tequilas, Reposado (rested) aged a minimum of two months, Anejo (Aged)aged of minimum of one year and Extra Anejo (ultra aged)aged minimum of three years.

There are more than 900 registered brands of tequila which is an obvious evidence of the popularity of this traditional Mexican alcoholic drink across the Mexico and in many other countries in the world.

Mexican Beer

Mexico is famous for its world-class beer. Mexican beer brands that are very popular in the United States, Europe and other parts of the World are Sol and Corona. However, that is only a small part of rich Mexican beer industry.

Other alcoholic Mexican drinks include: Margarita, Sangria, Rompope (a creamy drink similar to eggnog), Mezcal, Pulque and numerous alcoholic cocktails such as Tequila Sunrise and Blood Orange Margarita.

Mexican Non Alcoholic Drinks

Mexican non alcoholic drinks are very tasteful, healthy, refreshing and fun to make. It is for this reason that Mexican non alcoholic drinks are enjoyed by many children and parents across the Mexico and beyond.

Aguas Frescas consists of water, sugar and fruits (e.g. mango, guava, lemon, orange, melon, etc), cereals or seeds which are blended together to make a tasteful non alcoholic drink.

Other examples of Mexican Non Alcoholic drinks are: Aqua de Sandia, Horchata, Non Alcoholic Sangria, Virgin Pina Colada, Tropical Mango Pina Smoothie, Pineapple Coconut Slush and so on.
