In 12 short years, CoyoteHunter.net’s annual tournament series has gained legendary status among the predator hunting community. The 2013 -2014 series dates are set and participants are already submitting entries. This year’s CoyoteHunter.net annual tournament series includes the following events:
Luke Allen Oyloe was tragically killed in 2009 at just 16 years of age. The Luke Oyloe Memorial Coyote Hunt was established to provide an educational scholarship in Oyloe’s name. The event is a one-day contest with a registration fee of $100 per team. A rules meeting and Calcutta Auction will take place at 7:00 p.m. October 25 at the Edgar M. Cash will be awarded for the largest and smallest coyotes. After the tournament concludes, a scholarship (dollar amount varies from year-to-year based on participation in the tournament) will be awarded. Entrants must be in their senior year at Trinity Christian School in Williston, ND and submit a 1000-word essay on coyote hunting; a five-member panel of judges will select a winner from all entries received. Participation in the auction is open to all interested parties regardless of whether or not they register to participate in the hunt.
