Readers made some doubts regarding our previously published post about RBI Grade B previous year question papers here they queried that why the papers provided in the RBI Grade B Phase II sections are descriptive, they heard that except English Language, all the other two are objective papers. Because of that we are detailing about RBI Grade B syllabus for the year 2019.
Actually RBI revised the Grade B Officer recruitment process (revisions made in 2015) and made some changes from what they had followed in previous years. Before heading to the detailed syllabus of Grade B Officer exam 2019, we are briefly noting the revisions that RBI made in the year 2015 and hoping that it will be worth sharing with you.
Maximum chances to write RBI Grade B exams increased from 4 to 6 if he/she is from a General category.
RBI Grade B Phase II exams are revised to online, later it was pen and paper mode which includes English Language (Descriptive) with a duration of 90 minutes, it had 3 hours duration.
Paper II and Paper III of RBI Grade B Phase II exams which were descriptive earlier revised to objective type with 9o minutes duration from 3 hours.
RBI conducts a 3-Phase recruitment process before appointing you as a Grade B Officer which include 2 online examinations and an interview.
Phase I – Objective Type Online Examination (General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning) with a duration of 120 minutes and this will be out of 200 marks. Phase I is considered just as a primary screening process and its score will not be counted for the final after the interview.
Phase II – Objective & Descriptive Type Online Examination
Note*: From the year 2019 onwards there will not be Economics and Statistics option in Paper III, it has been withdrawn by RBI. We have also been updated it in the details.

Phase III – Interview (will be of 50 marks)
Final merit list will be published after the interview by adding your Phase II marks with interview marks. Document will be verified at the time of interview. Its all up to RBI to decide the cutoff marks.
