Question
I have been taking Sleep Aid/Unisom faithfully for almost a year and I feel/I know I have become addicted.I was taking Lunesta (as prescibed by my doctor before I did over the counter) but when I read it could become addicting, I came off and THOUGHT that taking the over-the-counter sleep aid would do the same thing, just a weaker non-addicting dosage.I WAS WRONG.Now I want to take myself off completely (going strong for two nights) but during this time, I cannot sleep and it is starting to effect my work and driving.How/what is the best thing for me to do?
Thanks!!
Answer
You will need to see a drug therapist, especially one that specializes in addiction.
