So i have always had sleeping problems i used to fall asleep in high school a lot my mom was aware of my “condition” and had to constantly tell my teachers to wake me up and that i am night owl.
When i was little it all started with outrageous growing pains in my legs i would wake up screaming and in pure agony. It was normal to wake up with growing pains, i don’t know so much about the constant moving of legs after words.
When i started middle school is when my legs needing to move kind of stopped and i could fall asleep easy by just rubbing them together. I slept pretty good for about year or two with only waking up in the night a few times a month and then at the end of middle school is when i started to have bad nightmares or extreme dreams sometimes they were very cool but others i would wake abruptly or not necessarily be scared but just feel the automatic need to wake up.
I still have those often not to the extent of what it was but often enough for my boyfriend to notice. He too has some sort of sleep disorder he as he can’t fall asleep for more than about for hours or has nightmares as well. My sleep patterns have gotten a little better i do not take a medication but i’ve learned to manage and “maintain” the issues i guess.
I don’t like pills so i wont take them and physical activity helps in a way i usually dont fall asleep until 1-3 but when i am active i can usually get to bed between 12-2.
