The speed of propagation of the coronavirus across Europe has led to the fact that countries are trying to agree on a plan of containment.
In late February, European country, except Italy, have reported several dozen cases. On Wednesday, Italy reported more than 12 460 cases jumping by more than 2,000 per day.
The number of confirmed cases rose Wednesday to nearly 2300 in France until nearly 2200 in Spain, each of which increased by approximately 500 from Tuesday, and in Germany there were more than 1600.
In the UK, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Switzerland, more than 400 confirmed infections. Denmark and Belgium reported more than 300 cases.
Even the island country of Iceland has not escaped this disease: more than 80 infections in the population of about 364 000 people — one of the highest rates per capita in the world.
Italy, with more than 800 deaths associated with the virus, and more than 6800 people were hospitalized, set strict limits on travel across the country and banned public meetings.

Some countries with the fewest cases take drastic measures.
Greece and Ukraine announced this week the closure of all schools, universities and kindergartens. In Hungary, the government of Prime Minister Viktor Orban declared a state of emergency on Tuesday, giving his administration special powers to combat the outbreak of coronavirus, including the closure of universities and theaters.
