About Mexican Flag Color Represent
Mexican flag history is exciting and interesting due to the fact that almost every major change in Mexican rich history was followed by the change or modification of the Mexican Flag.
The very first flag of Mexico was the Standard of The Virgin of Guadalupe (Our Lady of Guadalupe).
In 1810 on September 16 Father Hidalgo (Mexican revolutionary leader) made a famous speech while holding the very first flag of Mexico in his hands. After this event the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe became the symbol of freedom and revolutionary forces.
In 1821, after more than 10 years of Mexican struggle for independence, flag of the First Mexican Empire was designed by Agustin Iturbide I of Mexico, the Mexican emperor. This flag consisted of three vertical stripes colored in green, white and red and the national coat of arms (the crowded eagle) in the middle of the white stripe.
During the first Mexican Empire the Mexican flag colors represented: GreenIndependence, WhiteReligion, RedUnion.
During the period between 1823 and 1868 the meaning of the Mexican flag colors was: GreenHope, WhitePurity, RedReligion. During this period of Mexican history, the first Mexican Empire was abolished and the Mexican Republic was established.
Then in the 1864 Mexican Republic was abolished and French established Second Mexican Empire. Of course as the status of Mexico changed so did the Mexican flag.
In June 1867 Mexican republic was reestablished and its flag readopted. Even though during the period between 1867 and 1968 there were many modifications of the Mexican flag the meaning of the Mexican flag colors stayed the same throughout this period and nowadays the Mexican flag colors represent: GreenHope, WhiteUnion, RedBlood of heroes.
The meaning of the Mexican Coat of Arms (The Mexican Eagle that is standing in its right grasp, holding with the left talon and the beak the serpent) is the persistence, bravery, and strength of the Mexican people.
