Appliance Fault or Error Codes

When something is wrong with your appliance, it will frequently display an error code.

For example, X1 error code could mean that the water is not draining out of your washing machine; X2 error code might mean that the washing machine has timed out on heating up the water.

Some error codes offer genuine help to the public, others involve more complicated diagnostic work or technical competence to sort out.

There are thousands of error codes for every brand and type of home appliance. Most give clues to what the trouble might be and some are genuinely useful in helping to diagnose the problem.

Manufacturers do not make the majority of these error codes available to the public. Our partners have complied a detailed library of error codes for every appliance brand and type combination. Most owners would find this information useful.
