• SHS Certificate holders
• Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’ and HND holders
• Those desiring to be trained in Fashion Design and Textiles
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The entry requirement will be based on the general minimum requirements demanded by theUniversity of Education,Winnebaas well as special departmental requirements. An applicant must have one of the following categories of entry requirements:
SSSCE/WASSCE Certificate Holders
Applicants must have at least C6 in any three (3) of the following general and departmental requirements.
General requirements:
English Language, CoreMathematicsand Integrated Science.
Departmental requirements
I. At least grade “C6” in Clothing and Textiles or Textiles and
II. Any Two (2) of the following electives: Management in Living, General Knowledge in Art,Graphic Design, Economics, Leather Work, Sculpture, Painting and Jewellery.
Category B: HND Certificate Holders
Applicants must
a. Have a Higher National Diploma (HND) Certificate (at least a Second Class Lower Division) or its equivalent in the following disciplines
I. Fashion Design and Textiles
II.Textiles
b. Have acquired two (2) years Post HND qualification working experience
c. Pass an Interview
Mature Applicant
Applicant must be at least 25years old, a holder of the following qualifications and pass a written entrance examination:
a. Advanced Fashion Certificate plus four (4) GCE “O” Level credits or three (3) SSSCE/ WASSCE passes in English Language, Mathematics and Science
b. Teachers’ Certificate “A”
