3- YEAR DIPLOMA IN BASIC EDUCATION
Applicants must possess anyONEof the following:
(i) WASSCEwith at least Credit passes (A1 – C6) in five (5) subjects comprising three (3) Core Subjects including English Language andMathematicsplus two (2) elective subjects.
(ii) SSSCEwith at least Credit passes (A – D) in five (5) subjects comprising three (3) Core Subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus two (2) elective subjects.
(iii) GCE ‘O’ Levelwith at least Credit passes (Grade 6) in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject.
(iv) Teacher’s Certificate’ A’from a recognized College ofEducationor Institution.
(v) Mature Applicants – Must be at least 25 years(Will be required to write an entrance examination)
3- YEAR DIPLOMA IN EARLY CHILDHOODEDUCATION
Thisprogrammeis targeted at Pre-School Educators, SHS Certificate Holders, Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’ holders, Social Workers and all those who desire to be trained in the education of children at the pre-school level. Applicants must possess anyONEof the following:
(i) WASSCEwith at least Credit passes (A1 – C6) in five (5) subjects comprising three (3) Core Subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus two (2) elective subjects.
(ii) SSSCEwith at least Credit passes (A – D) in five (5) subjects comprising three (3) Core Subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus two (2) elective subjects.
(iii) GCE ‘O’ Levelwith at least Credit passes (Grade 6) in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject.
(iv) Teacher’s Certificate’ A’from a recognized College of Education or Institution.
(v) Certificate in Pre–School Educationfrom theUniversity of Education,Winneba. Applicants in this category will be placed at Level 200 of the 3-year programme.
(vi) Mature Applicants – Must be at least 25 years(Will be required to write an entrance examination)
2-YEAR BACHELOR OF EDUCATION INBASIC EDUCATION
(i) Applicants for the 2-year B.Ed. in Basic Education must be holders of aDiploma in Basic Educationfrom the University of Education, Winneba or any recognised University or Institution.
(ii) Other applicants must possess a Teachers Diploma awarded tograduatesof the Colleges of Education by theUniversity of Cape Coast.
2-YEAR BACHELOR OF EDUCATION IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
(i) Applicants for the 2-year B.Ed. in Early Childhood Education must be holders of aDiploma in Early Childhood Educationfrom the University of Education, Winneba or any recognized University.
(ii) Other applicants must possess a Teachers Diploma awarded to graduates of the Colleges of Education by the University of Cape Coast.
BusinessAdministration Programmes
3-YEAR DIPLOMA INACCOUNTINGSTUDIES
Applicants must possess anyONEof the following:
(i) WASSCEwith at least Credit passes (A1 – C6) in five (5) subjects comprising three (3) Core Subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus two (2) elective subjects.
(ii) SSSCEwith at least Credit passes (A – D) in five (5) subjects comprising three (3) Core Subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus two (2) elective subjects.
(iii) GCE ‘O’ Levelwith at least Credit passes (Grade 6) in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject.
(iv) G.C.E. ‘A’ Levelwith at least grades not lower than D in Two (2) subjects including Accounting. In addition, they must possess credits atGCE ‘0’ Levelin Mathematics and English Language.
(v) AdvancedBusinessCertificate Examination (ABCE)andRSA Stage IIIwith passes in three (3) subjects including Financial Accounting and Economics.
(vi) GeneralBusinessCertificate Examination (GBCE)andRSA stage IIwith passes in five (5) including Accounting, English Language and Mathematics. .
(vii) Professional Accountancy Certificate witha minimum of Part 1of:
· Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) – ICA
· Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
· Association of Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA)
· Institute of Bankers (IB)
· Other professional Accountancy Certificates from recognized Institution or Body.
(viii) Mature Applicants – Must be at least 25 years(Will be required to write an entrance examination)
3-YEAR DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT STUDIES
The entry requirementsare the same asthose for Diploma in Accounting Studies except that the subjects should includeCommerce, Office Administration/Practice and Business Management.
2- YEAR BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION IN ACCOUNTING STUDIES (BBA – ACCOUNTING)
(i) Applicants for the 2-year Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting Studies must possess theDiploma in Accounting Studiesfrom the University of Education, Winneba or any recognized University.
(ii) Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy with 2ndClass Lower and above.
2- YEAR BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION IN HUMAN RESOURCE
MANAGEMENT (B.BA – HRM)
(i) Applicants for the 2-year Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management must possess theDiploma in Management Studiesfrom the University of Education, Winneba or any recognized University.
(ii) Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) or its equivalent in either Human Resource Management, Secretarial and Management, Accountancy,Marketingor Purchasing and Supply with 2ndClass Lower and above can also apply.
